Janitorial Project Technician

Monday - Friday Days & Afternoons available + weekends when needed

The Janitorial Technician plays a crucial role in maintaining the overall cleanliness, safety, and functionality of a facility, by diligently performing their duties, they contribute to creating a positive environment for everyone who utilizes the space.

  • Perform regular cleaning and maintenance tasks on various types of flooring including but not limited to carpet, tile, hardwood, vinyl, and concrete.
  • Utilize appropriate cleaning methods, equipment, and chemicals to remove stains, dirt, and debris from floors, ensuring they are sanitized and safe for use.
  • Execute floor restoration procedures such as stripping, waxing, buffing, and polishing to rejuvenate and enhance the appearance and lifespan of floors.
  • Operate floor cleaning equipment including vacuum cleaners, floor buffers, carpet extractors, and floor scrubbers safely and effectively.
  • Conduct routine inspections of floors to identify any damages, hazards, or areas requiring special attention, and report findings to management.
  • Adhere to safety protocols and guidelines while performing floor maintenance activities to prevent accidents, injuries, and damage to property or equipment.
  • Coordinate with other members of the janitorial or maintenance team to ensure efficient workflow and timely completion of tasks.
  • Previous experience in janitorial or custodial work, preferably with floor maintenance experience preferred
  •  Familiarity with various types of flooring materials, cleaning techniques, and equipment operation.
  • Ability to follow instructions, work independently or as part of a team, and communicate effectively.
  • Capable of performing strenuous tasks including lifting heavy objects, bending, stooping, and standing for extended periods.
  • Meticulous in observing cleanliness standards and identifying areas in need of cleaning or repair.
  •  Knowledge of safety procedures and precautions related to the handling of cleaning chemicals and operation of equipment.
  • Willingness to work flexible hours, including days, weekends, and holidays, as required by the facility's needs.
  • Ability to lift and carry cleaning supplies and equipment.
  • Ability to stand, walk, bend, and kneel for extended periods.
  • Ability to work in various environmental conditions, including exposure to cleaning chemicals & other environmental factors
  • Other duties as assigned

Must have a valid driver's license, clean driving record & able to pass a fingerprint background

Hourly wage $17.00 - $20.00

 


This job reports to the Operations Manager
this is a Full-Time position 1st Shift, 2nd Shift
Travel is not required
