What You’ll Do
The Team Lead supports the daily operations of a commercial cleaning account by providing direction, training, and quality oversight to frontline staff. This role ensures that all cleaning duties are completed according to ServiceMaster standards, client expectations, and safety guidelines. The Team Lead serves as the on-site point of contact and helps maintain a professional, customer-focused environment.



Team Support & Leadership

  • Provide guidance, support, and hands-on assistance to cleaning staff during the shift.
  • Train new team members on ServiceMaster procedures, cleaning techniques, and safety practices.
  • Assign tasks and adjust priorities as needed to ensure all areas are serviced.
  • Model our company values, professionalism, and strong work ethic.


Quality Assurance

  • Perform routine inspections to ensure all cleaning meets ServiceMaster’s quality standards.
  • Address deficiencies immediately and communicate ongoing issues to the Supervisor or Account Manager.
  • Ensure proper use of cleaning equipment, chemicals, and PPE in compliance with safety protocols.


Operational Responsibilities

  • Maintain adequate supplies and communicate restocking needs promptly.
  • Report equipment malfunctions or building issues (lights out, leaks, access issues, etc.).
  • Support accurate timekeeping by verifying attendance and ensuring team members follow procedures.
  • Assist with scheduling changes, shift coverage, and communication to staff as needed.


Customer Service & Communication

  • Maintain a positive, professional presence at the job site.
  • Respond to basic client requests and communicate any concerns or service changes to management.
  • Ensure that the facility is serviced according to the account's scope of work.

Qualifications

  • Previous commercial cleaning experience required.
  • Prior team lead or leadership experience strongly preferred.
  • Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to motivate and guide team members in a fast-paced environment.
  • Dependable, detail-oriented, and able to work independently.
  • Ability to lift up to 40 lbs and perform physical activities throughout the shift.
