We are looking for a Night Shift Supervisor to oversee and run the Material Handler and Forklift operations in the Mill. This is a great opportunity to show off your management skills and grow with a great company. You should have great attention to detail to maintain accurate records. Physical strength is required since you may often need to lift products by hand. If you have past management, pulping, shipping/receiving, and production experience, we'd like to meet you.
Job Schedule: 5 days/week (flexible days) - 50hrs/week
- Night Shift: 7:00PM-5:00AM
Pay Rate: Paid weekly (every Friday)
Job Description: Responsible for overseeing, training, and participating in the operations of forklifts and other heavy machinery to move products within the warehouse and loading/unloading trucks. May also operate a high pressure washer.
- Managing the team of Material Handlers/Forklift Operators and ensuring the use of proper safety protocols and timely work completion
- Ensures orderly production and distribution of products by pulling orders from inventory, delivering production materials and supplies where needed, and staging finished products for final distribution.
- Contributes to orderly operation of stock/materials storage area.
- Maintains inventory by identifying, labeling, and keeping materials and supplies in stock, recording location of inventory, and reporting shortages.
- Locates materials and supplies by pulling and verifying and supplies listed on production orders.
- Locates and packs materials for shipping.
- Prepares finished stock for shipment by identifying, pulling, loading, and securing product.
- Documents product shipment by recording units shipped.
- Maintains material-handling equipment by completing pre-use inspections.
- Keeps inventory, loading areas, and machinery clean.
- Learns and adheres to workplace safety regulations.
Requirements:
- Pass background checks and drug screening
- Must have supervisory/management experience.
- Minimum 5 year of forklift experience
- Physical requirements: walking, standing, reaching, bending, and lifting 50lbs independently.
- Wear LACOSTA Shirt, steel-toed boots/shoes, long pants, and any other required PPE
- Remove all jewelry and accessories
