Position Overview:  

This position is responsible for supporting daily warehouse operations in a fast-paced distribution center by safely loading, unloading, moving, and organizing materials and products. The Material Handler will operate material-handling equipment and potentially forklifts as needed, maintain a clean and OSHA-compliant work environment, and work collaboratively with team members to ensure efficiency and accuracy. The ideal candidate is reliable, safety-focused, and detail-oriented.  

Essential Functions:  

The essential functions of this position include, but are not limited to:  

  • Safely operate forklifts and/or other material-handling equipment, as required, to load and unload materials and products from trucks, trailers, and containers.
  • Build, stack, and organize pallets for efficient storage and transportation.
  • Move and maneuver pallets and goods throughout the facility.
  • Load, unload, and stack pallets manually or with equipment.
  • Inspect pallets for damage and repair, recycle, or remove as needed.
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area in compliance with OSHA regulations.
  • Follow all company safety policies and procedures at all times.
  • Assist with inventory management, quality control, and general warehouse support.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned by supervisors.

  • Ability to read and write.

Physical Demands and Qualifications:  

  • Frequent standing, walking, bending, reaching, and stooping while handling materials.
  • Must be able to work in varying warehouse environments and temperatures, including exposure to noise, heat, cold, and indoor/outdoor conditions.
  • Must be able to lift and/or carry up to 40 pounds frequently.
  • Proof of prior forklift certification is a plus; and select candidates will be recertified to our company standards.
  • Knowledge of OSHA standards related to warehouse operations.
