Individual needed to maintain the property and environment of the shelter and assure the proper care for animals under the supervision of the director. Duties include: 

• Maintaining the appearance, cleanliness, and minor maintenance of shelter and grounds
• Providing for the care and welfare of all shelter animals
• Completing general office duties, including, but not limited to, answering phones, processing adoptions, and returning animals to owner(s) and keeping general inventory
• Greeting and assisting the public

Position also includes some weekend and holiday work. 

Position requirements: 

• Graduation from high school or GED equivalent
• Background check and valid driver’s license
• Ability to communicate effectively, orally, and in relationships, with officials, employees, and the general public.

Compassion for animals or prior experience in animal care is preferred.
