Job Title: Junior Business Development Associate
Shift: Monday-Friday 8:30 AM-5:00 PM
Salary: $55,000 base salary, paid in accordance with ORS payroll practices. You will also be eligible to earn sales commissions.
The Junior Business Development Associate supports Owens Realty Services sales and operations teams by conducting onsite facility walkthroughs and collecting critical information for janitorial and facility management Requests for Proposals (RFPs). This role is well suited for a motivated, detail-oriented individual who enjoys working in the field, interacting directly with clients, and learning the fundamentals of sales within the facilities services and janitorial industry.
The position requires regular travel to prospective and existing client locations and close collaboration with internal estimating, operations, and leadership teams to ensure accurate scopes of work and competitive proposals. This role offers opportunities for professional growth by exposing the team member to the full sales process, from identifying potential clients through pricing, contract execution, and operational team deployment.
Responsibilities:
• Conduct onsite facility walkthroughs for prospective Owens Realty Services (“ORS”) clients.
• Collect and document detailed facility information o
• Accurately record walkthrough observations using company-approved tools, checklists, photographs, and written notes.
• Communicate walkthrough findings clearly to sales, estimating, and operations teams.
• Assist in the preparation of RFP responses, scopes of work, and service schedules.
• Maintain organized and accurate records within ORS’s CRM and internal systems.
• Schedule and coordinate walkthroughs with property managers, clients, and internal stakeholders.
• Travel locally, regionally, and nationally as required to support business development efforts.
• Represent ORS professionally during all client interactions, meetings, and site visits.
• Support senior sales staff with follow-ups, proposal coordination, and opportunity tracking.
• Develop and maintain a strong working knowledge of ORS service offerings, standards, and operational processes.
• Monitor BidPrime, GovSpend, and other procurement platforms for new opportunities and present qualified prospects to the Executive Team for review and approval.
• Manage and coordinate walkthrough schedules to ensure all approved opportunities are completed timely and no bid deadlines are missed.
• Support the growth of ORS operations, including future office development and onboarding of additional team members.
