About the Role

We’re seeking a dedicated Shift Manager to lead daily operations and ensure an efficient, safe, and customer-focused environment. This role oversees staffing, training, inventory processes, and overall facility performance while fostering a positive and productive workplace culture.

Key Responsibilities

  • Recruit, hire, and retain qualified team members in compliance with labor laws and company policies.
  • Provide training, conduct performance evaluations, and address performance issues through coaching or corrective action when necessary.
  • Recommend pay adjustments and advancement opportunities.
  • Communicate expectations clearly and conduct regular safety inspections and team meetings.
  • Ensure accurate scheduling and maintain appropriate staffing levels each day.
  • Lead by example in delivering exceptional customer service.
  • Maintain a clean, organized facility and ensure a safe working environment.
  • Ensure the site has the tools, equipment, and resources needed for daily operations.
  • Uphold company policies and ensure employee compliance.
  • Complete all required documentation accurately and on time.

Qualifications

Knowledge & Skills

  • Ability to interpret safety rules, operating instructions, and procedural documents.
  • Proficiency in basic math, including percentages.
  • Understanding of inventory management practices.
  • Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Knowledge of recruiting, interviewing, coaching, and termination processes, including legal considerations.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to problem-solve in situations with limited standardization.

Experience & Education

  • High school diploma or equivalent strongly preferred.
  • Three years of leadership experience preferred, with responsibility for up to 20 employees.

Working Conditions & Physical Requirements

  • Frequent walking, standing, bending, stooping, and kneeling.
  • Ability to lift up to 30 lbs frequently and up to 50 lbs occasionally.
  • Occasional ladder use.
  • Ability to pass a motor vehicle record check.
  • Fast-paced environment with moderate noise.
  • Occasional exposure to outdoor weather.
