Position Overview
The Zone Manager reports to the Regional Manager and leads and directs janitorial operations across assigned locations, ensuring compliance with company standards and contractual requirements. This role provides direct oversight of staff, scheduling, and performance management, and is accountable for service quality and operational results. The Zone Manager also serves as the primary point of contact for client stakeholders, including principals and facility leadership, and plays a key role in reviewing inspections, managing zone budgets, and driving training initiatives to address performance gaps and ensure consistent service delivery.
Essential Functions:
The essential functions of this position include, but are not limited to:
- Provide overall leadership and direction for janitorial operations across assigned locations, ensuring compliance with company standards, contractual requirements, and performance expectations
- Directly supervise staff, oversee scheduling and labor allocation, manage performance evaluations and corrective actions, and ensure workforce accountability
- Oversee inspection programs by conducting high-level inspections, reviewing results, and ensuring timely correction of deficiencies to maintain service quality and compliance standards
- Drive operational excellence through quality assurance programs, performance monitoring, trend analysis, and implementation of corrective and preventive measures
- Allocate and coordinate training across the zone to address deficiencies, reinforce standards, and support workforce development and technical skill advancement
- Manage zone budgets, including labor, supplies, and equipment, while overseeing procurement, inventory, and equipment to ensure cost control and operational efficiency
- Serve as the primary escalation point for client concerns, maintain strong relationships with principals and facility contacts, and ensure effective communication of site needs and expectations across all locations
- Partner with the Regional Manager to implement strategic service improvements and strengthen long-term client satisfaction.
- Travel between assigned locations to conduct inspections, meet with client stakeholders, and oversee operations across the zone.

Physical Demands:
- Frequent standing, walking, pushing, kneeling, bending, twisting, reaching, squatting, and crawling.

- Must be able to lift and/or carry up to 25 pounds frequently.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in a supervisory role within the janitorial or facilities management industry.
- Bilingual in English and Spanish required.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage and motivate teams across multiple locations.
- Excellent attention to detail and commitment to maintaining high-quality standards.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with client, principals, and staff.
- Experience managing budgets, cleaning supplies, equipment, and inventory.
- Knowledge of safety protocols, inspection processes, and proper cleaning techniques.
- Reliable transportation, valid driver’s license, and good driving record required.
- High school diploma or equivalent; Associate degree or coursework in management is a plus.
