We are looking for a responsible day porter to maintain our client’s facility. It is important for a day porter to be careful and thorough in working, cleaning, and tidying the premises. The ideal candidate will be experienced in a day porter role focused on building upkeep. A keen eye for detail and diligence are imperative in day porter maintenance jobs. Must be able to pass a background check.
Job Summary:
We are seeking a reliable and skilled Light
Day Porter: to support day -to-day maintenance operations. this role involves performing basic repairs, preventative maintenance, and general upkeep to ensure facilities remain safe, clean and functional.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:
- Perform light maintenance and minor repairs (doors,locks,fixtures,drywall,painting, etc)
- Replace light bulbs, filters and basic hardware
- Basic plumbing and electrical tasks(non-licensed)
- Conduct routine inspections and report maintenance issues.
- Assist with equipment and furniture setup/moves
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of maintenance areas
- Respond to service requests in a timely and professional manner
- Follow safety procedure and company protocols
Qualifications:
- Previous maintenance or handyman experience preferred
- Basic knowledge of plumbing, electrical, and general repairs
- Ability to use hand and power tools safety
- Strong problem -solving skills
- Reliable transpiration
- Good communication and customer service skills
- Ability to lift up to (X) lbs
Work Environment:
- Indoor and outdoor work
- Standing, bending, lifting, and walking required
- Occasional evening/weekend work be required
