Programmed Cleaning Inc. services multi-tenant buildings, commercial office buildings, healthcare facilities, financial institutions, and educational facilities just to name a few of our clientele. With over 60 years of cleaning experience, we have established ourselves as a dynamic regional contractor.

We are currently hiring for a Part-Time General Cleaner position at a warehouse located on the east side of Madison. The pay rate is $15.75 per hour, and the schedule is Monday through Friday from 5:00 PM to 9:15 PM. We are looking for dependable, detail-oriented individuals with previous cleaning experience.

Floor Care Position Responsibilities:

• Sweeping, mopping, and dust mopping hard surface floors
• Cleaning stairwells, handrails, hallways, and interior windows
• Performing approximately 90% floor care duties
• Operating floor care equipment, including a floor scrubber and carpet extractor

Spanish-speaking candidates are welcome. The ideal applicant should be reliable, hardworking, and able to work well as part of a team.

Additional daily responsibilities include:

• Cleaning tables and microwaves in dining areas
• Restocking condiments and paper products
• Troubleshooting and maintaining the coffee machine
• Breaking down cardboard boxes
• Removing trash and recycling
• Cleaning and maintaining four restrooms

Candidates must be comfortable using a backpack vacuum. Steel-toe shoes are required, and reimbursement is available.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESONSIBILITIES:

• Dust surfaces include desktops, cabinet tops, partitions, etc.
• Empty wastebaskets and recyclables; transport to designated disposal area.
• Sweep and mop hard surfaced floors.
• Vacuum floors using upright vacuum and/or vac packs.
• Spot clean carpet.
• Clean glass areas.
• Clean and disinfect sinks, countertops, toilets, mirrors, floors, etc.
• Clean restrooms and maintain supplies- ensure restrooms are stocked
• Polish metalwork, such as fixtures and fittings.
• Job duties and/or assigned areas may be modified at any time based on customer or manager discretion.
• Follow all company Safety standards and procedures.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS/PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
• Capable of standing and walking for the entire shift while performing job duties.
• Able to frequently bend, lift, carry, reach, and extend arms above shoulder level in a physically active work setting.
• Able to frequently lift, carry, push, and pull up to 25 lbs., and occasionally up to 50 lbs.
• Ability to work independently or as part of a team.
• Comfortable working with cleaning products and chemicals.
• Must have dependable transportation to and from work.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
