Job Duties

  • Responsible for general cleanliness of UPW and WWT areas
  • Responsible for cleanliness of offload dock areas including chemical waste removal to RCRA cage.
  • Responsible for trash and pallet removal.
  • Responsible for moving materials and equipment to prescribed areas as required.
  • Responsible for maintaining 5S during offloads.
  • Use of pressure washers, vacuums, hose bibs, mops, shovels, pallet jacks, drum dollies, squeegee, floor cleaning machine, etc.
  • Triple rinse of Hypochlorite drums.
  • Responsible for restock of PPE and Consumables

Filter Press Operations:

  • Responsible for cleaning the filter press between uses and restarting press as per Global Tech.
  • Responsible for cleanup of filter press areas.
  • Responsible for raking cake to uniform height in dumpster
  • Checking sludge levels with sludge judge.
  • Use of scrapers, shovels, rakes, etc

Maintenance Operations:

  • Cleaning of fluoride and pH probes.
  • Assist in SCD line cleaning.
  • Rebuild 200,400, and 800 Double Diaphragm pumps.

Offload Operations:

  • Responsible for starting and stopping chemical offloads according to applicable procedures.
  • Reviewing documentation, truck condition and C3 schedule system before offloads.
  • Responsible for ensuring proper delivery and maintaining offload paperwork
  • Responsible for monitoring offloads.
  • Responsible for cleanup of docks post offload (including chemical leaks and truck oil leaks)
  • Responsible for maintaining 5S during offloads.
  • Use of spill pads, hose bibs, shovels, chucks
  • General Requirements:
  • Fluent in English Language - Written and Verbal
  • Ability to work in standing position for majority of 8 hr day (excluding breaks)
  • Ability to use ladders, stairs and walk significant distances.
  • Able to lift pull 30 lbs throughout the shift
  • Ability to reach and bend during work activities.
  • Familiar with computer use.
  • Handle and load dry chemicals into Hoppers and mixing tanks (Polymer, Alum) - unless this requires a respirator.
