Part-Time Custodian

• Location: Clarksburg, WV
• Shift: Monday through Friday | 1:00 PM – 6:00 PM (25 hours per week)
• Pay Rate: $15.00 / hour
• Position Type: Part-Time / non-exempt

Looking for a consistent, daytime part-time position? We are hiring a dependable Custodian for a single facility in Clarksburg, WV. This role offers a steady, 25-hour weekly schedule with predictable weekday afternoon hours—ideal for anyone seeking steady, part-time hours or reliable supplemental income.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

You will play a vital role in maintaining a clean, safe, and professional facility for our client:

• Waste Management: Remove trash and recycling; replace trash liners in assigned areas.
• Surface Cleaning: Dust furniture, fixtures, and surfaces; clean interior glass, windows, and entryways.
• Floor Care: Vacuum carpeted areas; sweep and mop hard-surface floors.
• Sanitization: Clean and disinfect restrooms and keep paper products and dispensers fully stocked.
• Facility Maintenance: Maintain the custodial closet and assigned storage areas in a neat and orderly condition; keep cleaning equipment in proper operating condition.
• Customer Service & Project Support: Address customer concerns and deficiencies promptly and professionally; assist project crews with periodic project work as needed.
• Other Duties: Perform other related duties as assigned to meet business needs.

Physical Requirements & Working Conditions

• Ability to stand, walk, bend, stoop, reach, and perform repetitive custodial motions for the duration of a 5-hour shift.
• Ability to safely lift and carry up to 35 lbs. (trash bags, buckets, supply containers).
• Ability to work with and around standard commercial cleaning chemicals and custodial equipment.

Qualifications & Requirements

• Reliability: Strong work ethic, attention to detail, and consistent daily attendance.
• Background Requirement: Must complete FBI fingerprint clearance upon hire (100% company-paid).
• Communication: Ability to understand, follow, and execute written and verbal instructions, and communicate effectively with team members and facility contacts.
