LACOSTA Facility Services is seeking an experienced Painter to join our team. This role involves painting, facility cleaning, and machine cleaning within a warehouse environment. The ideal candidate will have prior experience and a strong understanding of safety procedures, including Lock Out Tag Out (LOTO).

Pre-employment drug screen and background check are REQUIRED

Schedule: Monday - Friday

  • 1st Shift, 6:00 AM-2:30 PM

Pay: Paid weekly (every Friday)

  • $18-22/hr Depending on experience

Painting Duties

  • Apply paint to various surfaces:
    • Walls, floors, doors
    • Safety poles and rails
  • Prepare surfaces before painting:
    • Scraping, sanding, priming, sealing
    • Fill cracks and holes using:
    • Caulk, putty, or other fillers
  • Protect surrounding areas with:
    • Drop cloths or plastic coverings

Cleaning & Facility Maintenance

  • Perform general facility cleaning tasks
  • Conduct machine cleaning as assigned
  • Maintain cleanliness and safety of work areas at all times

Equipment & Safety

  • Operate ladders and high lifts when required
  • Follow all safety procedures and company standards
  • Utilize Lock Out Tag Out (LOTO) procedures when working on or around machines
  • Properly use paints, chemicals, and solvents
  • Wear required PPE:
    • Hard hat, steel-toe boots, safety vest, etc.

Team & Work Expectations

  • Follow directions from the Department Supervisor
  • Work collaboratively with Specialty and Operations teams
  • Be flexible with changing tasks and job assignments
  • Adhere to all plant rules and company policies

Requirements

  • Prior painting and surface preparation experience
  • Experience with drywall and sheetrock repair
  • Knowledge of Lock Out Tag Out (LOTO) procedures
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills
  • Professional, reliable, and positive attitude

Ability to understand:

  • Safety signs and warning systems
  • Company policies and procedures
  • Comfortable working in a warehouse environment
  • Willingness to wear required PPE at all times
