Saber Building Services is excited to welcome an experienced Day Porter / Custodian to our team at a vibrant community and recreation facility near the West Maple Road corridor in West Bloomfield Township. This highly visible position is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys staying active, helping others, and taking pride in creating a clean and welcoming space.

You will play an important role in the daily experience of building staff, program participants, and visitors. Because the facility remains busy throughout the day, we are looking for someone who is friendly, dependable, attentive, and ready to respond wherever support is needed.

Responsibilities

• Clean and sanitize restrooms and restock supplies
• Empty trash and recycling containers
• Vacuum carpeted areas and sweep and mop hard-surface floors
• Dust furniture, fixtures, ledges, and other surfaces
• Clean offices, common areas, entrances, and other assigned spaces
• Respond promptly to spills and service requests
• Monitor high-traffic areas and address cleaning needs throughout the shift
• Communicate professionally with building staff, employees, and visitors
• Report supply, equipment, safety, or facility concerns to management

Requirements

• Previous custodial experience required
• Consistent and reliable attendance
• Strong communication and customer service skills
• Ability to work professionally in an occupied building
• Ability to work independently and respond to changing priorities
• Ability to lift, bend, stand, walk, and perform repetitive physical tasks
• Ability to follow cleaning procedures and facility safety requirements

Pay: $17 - $18 per hour
