We are looking for a knowledgeable Sr. Payroll Specialist to process and manage the company’s payroll. You will be the one to calculate wages based on hours worked and administer payments.
A Senior Payroll Specialist requires a combination of strong technical skills, particularly in payroll processing and compliance, along with excellent communication and problem-solving abilities. Key requirements include experience with a fast pace, high volume multi-state payroll software and systems, and a thorough understanding of relevant laws and regulations. The goal is to ensure personnel receive the correct compensation in a timely manner.
Position is an in-office position.
Job Responsibilities:
· End-to-end payroll processing using Winteam and ADP Smart Compliance
· Maintain and process payroll records and reports for accounting of salary/wages due, accruals, deductions and other payroll related duties.
· Compliance – Ensuring adherence to all applicable laws and regulations
· Troubleshooting and problem solving – Addressing payroll related inquiries and escalating when necessary
· Audit current processes to reduce the number of payroll related errors
· Provide support to leadership as tasks are assigned
· Acquiring proper approval from upper management for additional payments when needed
· Process and respond to Garnishment notices
· Prepare reports for management, finance department etc.
