We are seeking a dependable and professional Day Porter to support daytime cleaning operations at a modern technology and corporate office facility in the Livonia area near the I-275 and Seven Mile Road corridor.

This position works during business hours while the building is occupied. The Day Porter helps maintain a clean, organized, and professional environment for employees, visitors, and building occupants throughout the day. The ideal candidate is reliable, detail-oriented, and comfortable interacting professionally with people while completing routine cleaning and facility support tasks.

Responsibilities

• Maintain cleanliness and overall appearance throughout common areas, entrances, hallways, and shared spaces
• Respond to routine cleaning needs during business hours
• Remove trash and maintain building appearance throughout the shift
• Restock facility supplies as needed
• Communicate professionally with employees, visitors, and building occupants
• Report facility concerns, supply needs, or maintenance issues to management
• Follow cleaning procedures, safety guidelines, and building expectations
• Help maintain a clean, safe, and professional workplace environment

Requirements

• Previous janitorial, custodial, or day porter experience preferred
• Comfortable working in an occupied professional office and technology environment
• Professional appearance and strong communication skills
• Reliable attendance and dependable work ethic
• Ability to work independently and stay organized throughout the shift
• Ability to respond to cleaning needs during business hours
• Ability to stand, walk, bend, lift, and move throughout the shift
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality work
