Rising Star Resource Development Corporation (Rising Star) is a 501c3 private non-profit providing supportive and integrated employment.  As a Community Rehabilitation Program (CRP) we provide training and employment services to people with disabilities, barriers to employment and our country’s veterans.   This is achieved through our federal, state, local government and private contracts in Facility Support Services and Temporary Staffing.

Essential Functions: The qualified candidate will be responsible for the day-to-day operation and administrative activities to ensure conformance to contract requirements. Develops and implements quality control measures and level of service standards to ensure compliance with customer specifications / contract requirements for assigned buildings or locations. Oversees inspections, quality control measures, and the safety policies for assigned buildings.

  • Ownership and Leadership of the Safety and Quality Control position.
  • Credentialling: 30 Hour OSHA training.
  • Weekly frequent communication to update activities and communication with team members.
  • Coordinate service activities for assigned building. Ensure that services are performed as contracted and at the intended quality standards.
  • Interact with site supervisors, government and corporate customers when needed to obtain feedback on services and special requests. Troubleshoot potential problems and concerns.
  • Manage the company’s quality control monitoring and safety programs at the assigned buildings.
  • Review quality of service inspections performed by site supervisors and staff at assigned buildings.
  • Attend Rising Star training workshops when scheduled.
  • Implements Rising Star approved process changes within assigned buildings.
  • Attempt to increase revenue by ensuring the Supervisors are looking for ways to provide additional or periodic services to the customers.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures and all federal, state, and local government regulations.

Facility Security Officer FSO)

  • Consistent with your past experience and current assignment as FSO. Addition to Job Description Role.
  • Lead compliance with federal Facility Security policy and procedures. 
  • GSA ROCAL/CIW procures and renewals to ensure expedient processing and compliance.
  • Manage federal contract PWS requirements of contracts.
  • WinTeam compliance module management and reporting for each type of clearance.

Role Expectations

  • Ownership and Leadership of the Safety and Quality Control position.
  • Credentialling: 30 Hour OSHA training.
  • Weekly frequent communication to update activities and communication with team members
  • Establishment of policies, guidance and documentation forms all made available to the organization.
  • Embracement of Team Software (WinTeam), ehub and any other electronic systems to manage, report and achieve records.
  • Lead Safety and Quality Control weekly team meeting status updates and quarterly Safety Meetings including meeting minute recorded for compliance documentation.
  • Liability Coverage planning with Finance and Human Resources Departments to lower injury claims and lower rates of coverage – Marsha McLennan Agency.
  • SourceAmerica / AbilityOne– lead and prepare the compliance documentation and compliance reporting for reviews and audits. 
  • Quality Inspection customer pulls and reporting to comply with company and contract requirements.
  • Semi-Annual Safety and Quality training meetings with Field and HQ staff

Minimum Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED Required
  • Minimum of three to five (3-5) years of supervisory experience in a service/customer-oriented environment.
  • Experience in team management and customer communication.
  • Have a working knowledge of OSHA safety regulations and chemical handling/storage procedures.
  • Must be able to write reports and business correspondence and effectively present information and respond to questions from managers and customers.

Wage Range and Travel Requirements

  • $17.00 - $19.00 per hour
  • Travel Miles Stipend included
  • Some Local, Regional and State Travel Required

 

Education Requirements (Any)
High School Diploma or GED Equivalent
Two to Four Years of Experience
