Project Technician:

As a Project Technician, you will play a vital role in maintaining cleanliness and ensuring the aesthetic appeal of various facilities. Your primary responsibilities will include operating large cleaning equipment, performing floor maintenance tasks such as stripping, waxing, and buffing, and assisting with general maintenance duties. You will work closely with the project manager and other team members to achieve high-quality results within specified timelines.

Responsibilities:

Operate Cleaning Equipment: Utilize large cleaning equipment, such as industrial scrubbers, polishers, and buffers, to effectively clean and maintain various floor surfaces.

Floor Maintenance: Perform floor maintenance tasks including stripping old wax, applying new wax layers, and buffing floors to a high gloss finish. Adhere to industry best practices and safety guidelines during all floor maintenance processes.

General Cleaning: Assist in the general cleaning and upkeep of assigned areas, including vacuuming, mopping, dusting, and sanitizing surfaces. Ensure compliance with established cleaning protocols and safety standards.

Equipment Maintenance: Regularly inspect and maintain cleaning equipment to ensure proper functionality. Report any malfunctions or maintenance requirements to the project manager promptly.

Safety Compliance: Adhere to all safety guidelines and protocols, including proper handling and storage of cleaning chemicals and equipment. Promote a safe work environment for yourself and fellow team members.

Team Collaboration: Collaborate effectively with the project manager, supervisors, and other team members to coordinate workflow and accomplish project objectives. Assist in training new team members as needed.

Qualifications:

• Prior experience (5+ years) in floor maintenance and operating large cleaning equipment preferred.
• Knowledge of floor stripping, waxing, and buffing techniques.
• Familiarity with different types of floor surfaces and appropriate cleaning methods.
• Ability to lift heavy equipment and supplies, as required.
• Excellent attention to detail and time management skills.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Demonstrated ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, or irregular hours, as project demands may require.
• Must have experience with hard-surfaced floors – specifically stripping, scrubbing, and burnishing.
