As a team member, your role as the Head of Operations is to manage the cleaning company's daily operations, ensuring the team provides exceptional cleaning services for commercial or residential sites and that they are performed to the highest possible standards. Client engagement and contract management will be a key focus along with developing business.

  • Responsible for optimizing efficiency, maximizing productivity and ensuring the highest standard of service quality across all areas of the business.
  • Develop and implement strategic plans to drive operational efficiency and achieve business objectives.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvements, cost optimization and resource allocation.
  • Collaborate with senior management to establish operational goals, KPIs, and performance metrics.
  • Promote, retain, develop, and extend the Company’s business.
  • Manage budgets and allocating funds to various departments within the organization.
  • Present reports on operational activities and inform the Board.
  • Operate with extreme confidentiality and discretion with both company and client information.
  • Develop, execute, and ensure company SOPs are followed throughout assigned sites.
  • Oversee the assigned job sites according to staffing and site requirements to achieve profitability and cost-effectiveness
  • Develop and implement strategies to improve client satisfaction, retention, and loyalty.
  • Analyze client feedback and market trend to identify opportunities for service enhancements.
  • Assist with contract negotiation and expanding service and products.
  • Provide leadership, guidance and direction to the operations team, including managers, supervisors, cleaning and support staff.
  • Conduct regular performance evaluations, training sessions and coaching to enhance team capabilities.
  • Manage staff motivation, discipline, development, and performance according to the organizational, human resource, and government workforce policies.
  • Ensure that the organization operates efficiently by monitoring productivity levels and employee performance.
  • Assist Senior Managers in expanding and developing company structure insuring clear reporting lines.
  • Recruit and interview applicants and conduct effective 2-way dialogue performance reviews.
  • Assist Client Service Managers with fortifying their relationships with their commercial and residential clients.
  • Collaborate with the operations team to identify opportunities to enhance services with additional services or products.
  • Establish and enforce quality standards, protocols, and best practices for cleaning operations.
  • Conduct regular inspections and audits to ensure compliance with company polies, safety regulations, and industry standards.
  • Implement corrective actions and preventative measures to address any issues or deficiencies.
  • Ensure that all Workplace Safety and Health requirements are adhered to minimize the risk of accidents and follow the Occupational Safety and Health Regulations and chemicals training.
  • Oversee resource planning, including staffing levels, equipment and supplies inventory.
  • Optimize resource allocation to meet client demands while maintaining cost effectiveness.
  • Performs additional duties as needed
Required Skills/Abilities 
  • Must be willing to relocate to Bermuda 
  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Operations Management, Facility Management or a related field required. Master’s degree preferred.
  • 10 years’ proven experience in an operations management role, preferably in the cleaning or facility service industry.
  • Proven track record of successful process improvement and implementation.
  • Strong understanding of financial analysis and budgeting.
  • Exceptional communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills with the ability to interact effectively with clients, stakeholders, and team members.
  • Strong leadership and managerial skills with a track record of building and motivating high-performing teams.
  • Proficient in MS Office suite is required.
  • Experience in contract and client management is a benefit.
  • Proven history of system implementation or integration is an asset.
  • Knowledge of proper safe handling of heavy commercial equipment, carpet and upholstery cleaning, hard floor re-conditions and maintenance, preferred.
  • Knowledge and understanding of regulatory health and safety compliance.
  • Affiliations with BSCAI, ISSA or similar is preferred
  • Must be able to work irregular hours, i.e., evenings, weekends, shifts, and Public Holidays
