Rising Star Resource Development Corporation is seeking a hard-working individual to join our team of professionals for full-time (7:00am - 3:00pm and 9:00am - 5:00pm) and part-time positions (2pm - 6pm). Previous surgical cleaning experience a major plus along with Reliable Transportation which is required.

Essential Functions: Responsible for cleaning medical office, surgical operating rooms and terminal cleaning. The qualified candidate should be dedicated, energetic, and motivated this position directly impacts patient safety and outcomes.

  • Attention to Detail: Precision is essential to maintain a sterile environment.
  • Knowledge of Sterilization Techniques: Familiarity with HAZCOM process for proper bio-waste removal and sterilization, chemical sterilization, and high-level disinfection.
  • Time Management: Ability to work efficiently during tight turnover schedules.
  • Adaptability: Operating rooms can be fast-paced; being adaptable is crucial.

  • May train others and Performs related work as assigned
  • Inspects areas for quality assurance per Custodial Log Book
  • Performs minor maintenance and repair work on custodial equipment

Clean Restrooms

  • Clean and Disinfect Toilets and Urinals, around all light switches and door levers, Mirrors and Restroom Stall Dividers, around all light switches and door levers, Sinks and Countertops
  • Clean and Sanitize Bathroom Fixtures, Clean, Sanitize and Replenish All Bathroom Dispensers
  • Wet Mop and Disinfect Restroom Floor (after sweeping)
  • Empty Trash/ Garbage Cans (including recycling bins)
  • Check and Replace Automatic Deodorizer as necessary
  • Maintains floors; sweep, mop, scrubbing and Hi-Speeding as required

Sterilization and Disinfection:

  • Ensuring that all surfaces, equipment, and instruments within the operating room are thoroughly cleaned, disinfected, and sterilized. This includes surgical tables, lights, anesthesia machines, and other critical areas.

Room Turnover:

  • Efficiently preparing the operating room for the next surgery after each procedure.
  • Cleaning and restocking supplies, changing linens, and ensuring all surfaces are ready for the next patient.

Adherence to Protocols:

  • Strictly following established protocols and guidelines for infection control.
  • Understand and use appropriate cleaning agents, handling hazardous waste, and maintaining aseptic conditions.

Floor and Wall Maintenance:

  • Keeping the floors, walls, and ceilings of the operating room clean and free from debris.
  • Regularly mopping and disinfecting the floors to prevent contamination.

Trash and Linen Management:

  • Properly disposing of biohazardous waste, used linens, and other materials.
  • Ensuring that waste bins are emptied promptly and linen carts are stocked.

Communication with Supervisor:

  • Coordinating with the supervisor and customer point of contact to ensure a smooth turnover process.
  • Communicating any issues related to cleanliness or supplies.

Clean Reception and Lobby Areas

  • Clean and Sanitize Water Fountains, Vending Machine Exteriors, around all light switches and door levers
  • Check and Replace Automatic Deodorizer as necessary
  • Clean Interior & Exterior of the Reception area service windows, Lobby Doors and Windows as necessary
  • Empty Trash / Garbage Cans
  • Dry and Wet Mop as necessary to remove spills

Clean Break Rooms

  • Wet Mop and Disinfect Break Room Floor
  • Dry and Wet Mop as necessary to remove spills
  • Clean out microwave and wipe down the outside of the refrigerator.
  • Clean Interior & Exterior of Door Windows
  • Clean & Disinfect Countertops, Table Tops
  • Empty Trash / Garbage Cans

Physical Requirements: Overall Strength Demands: The following describes the overall strength demand of the functions performed by the incumbent during a typical workday. Light to medium lifting

Machines, Tools, Equipment and Work Aids: The essential functions of this position require the use of cleaning supplies such as: mop, cleaning chemicals, vacuum and possibly a buffer.

Environmental Factors: The essential functions of this position are performed indoors in 70-80 degrees. You will receive the proper trainig and Personal Protective Gear as required to perfom the services. Potential exists for lifting up to 30 pounds.

Compensation : This will be an Hourly Position, see below for wage

  • $16.00 - $17.00 per hour
