Under general direction of In House Counsel and within corporate policy, Federal, State and Local laws, supports the legal activities of Company in the US to achieve company objectives.. Role would encompass responsibilities across the United States. Individual would provide administrative and legal support to the Company’s In House Counsel and occasionally to team leaders of Operations, Sales, Finance & Human Resources.

· Act as a standard-bearer for our company values and philosophy and implement and maintain all necessary programs to achieve Corporate Mission and Goals.

· Support and assist In House Counsel on matters concerning labor and employment law, contracts, arbitration, and compliance as needed

· Review and analyze contracts, insurance certificates, requests for proposals and other legal documentation as needed under direction of In House Counsel

· Draft contracts, pleadings, correspondence, and affidavits as directed by General Counsel

· Assists In House Counsel with investigation and research concerning Company legal matters

· Responsible for tracking, organizing, and archiving documents relating to Company’s business

· Maintains confidentiality for all sensitive and protected information.

· Coordinates with outside counsel as assigned by In-House Counsel.

· Reviews applicable statutes and regulations.

· Assists with the preparation of responses to various regulatory inquiries.

· May collaborate with a team of legal professionals.

· All other duties as assigned and delegated by General Counsel

 

This position is an in-office position in Knoxville, TN.

 

Minimum Qualifications:

The requirements listed below are representative of the minimal education, experience, knowledge, skills, and/or abilities required for this position.

 

Education: Certification or Associate’s (or Bachelor’s) Degree in Paralegal Studies preferred

Experience: 2-5 years as paralegal.Employment or Corporate law background preferred.

Skills:

· Computer literacy; including Excel, PowerPoint, and Word proficiencies.

· Excellent communication and time management Skills.

· Must be organized and detail oriented

· Possess a positive and optimistic attitude.

· Must enjoy responsibility, accountability, and opportunity to direct your own efforts.

· Desire to achieve excellence and an aversion to mediocrity.

· Pro-active and resourceful in nature.

· Committed to self-development and personal growth.

 

Travel:

Occasional travel may be required, but is minimal.
