Description & Requirements - Floor Technician Specialty Services

SUMMARY

A Specialty Services Employee provides high-quality customer service to all CCS clients. As an SSE, you will be assigned to a team that will provide support in projects such as carpet cleaning, floor stripping, scrubbing, and waxing, industrial cleaning, and all other miscellaneous duties. These tasks include light to heavy duty cleaning in a variety of environments such as banks, commercial buildings, factories, schools, universities, and government organizations.

Starting wage is $20.00

REQUIREMENTS

• Previous experiences in specialty services, such as scrubbing, buffing, waxing, and stripping of floors, carpet extraction, and general facility maintenance.
• Must have valid driver’s license, reliable transportation, and good driving record.
• Must be available to work all shifts and weekends.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS (TASKS)

• Provide support in projects such as carpet cleaning, floor stripping, and waxing, industrial cleaning
• Operate equipment such as vacuum cleaners, carpet machinery, floor scrubbers and lifts
• Service, clean, and supply restrooms
• Dust furniture, walls, machines, and equipment
• Clean and polish furniture and fixtures
• Clean windows, glass partitions, and mirrors, using CCS approved cleaners and equipment
• Other duties as assigned

Requirements

• Knowledge of the principles and processes for providing customer and personal services. This includes customer needs assessment, meeting quality standards for services, and evaluation of customer satisfaction.
• Knowledge of general cleaning activities.
• Active listening skills – giving full attention to what other people are saying, taking time to understand the points being made, asking questions as appropriate, and not interrupting at inappropriate times.
• Oral comprehension - the ability to listen to and understand information and ideas presented through spoken words and sentences.
• Static Strength - The ability to exert maximum muscle force to lift, push, pull, or carry objects.
• Trunk Strength - The ability to use your abdominal and lower back muscles to support part of the body repeatedly or continuously over time without 'giving out' or fatiguing.
