Shift Hours 2:30 PM- 11:00 PM Monday-Friday

Supervisor Responsibilities

  • Supervises cleaning staff.
  • Walk the floor to review work performed by employees in the executive offices and other areas as designated by manager.
  • Check special work requests or issues as requested by client and ensure that the request has been completed as requested.
  • Trains employees on how to perform the functions of the job.
  • Trains employees on safety procedures.
  • Reports workplace accidents.
  • Advises manager of workplace issues/ concerns regarding employees and equipment.
  • Additional duties may be assigned as needed and requested by the client and/or the Account Manager.
  • If needed, covers during assigned staff call outs.

 

Essential Functions

  • Supervise staff of two or more employees.
  • Provide training to new employees and orientation as required.
  • Inspect work performed to ensure quality standards are maintained.
  • Monitor time reporting transactions.
  • Inspect equipment to ensure it is in proper working condition.
  • Monitor safety practices of staff to ensure policies/procedures are followed.
  • Submit work request to engineering for items found in need of repair.
  • Distribute and monitor supply usage.
  • Reassign work assignments as required.
  • Performs discipline procedures of employees for poor work performance, attendance, etc.
  • Handles employee work schedules.
  • Reviews time-off requests.

  • Must be dependable, self-motivated, have a positive attitude, and be able to work independently.
  • Bilingual, Spanish/English, 2-Year Supervisor/Management Experience in Janitorial Industry.

  • Complete other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Education: High school or GED graduate desired.
  • Experience: Two years experience as a supervisor.

Physical Demands

  • Manual dexterity to operate electrical equipment.
  • Stretching and bending.
  • Mobility to move around a building.
  • Lifting up to 50 lbs.
  • Must be able to walk/stand for 8 hours without restriction due to the type of work.
