The Ground Crew is responsible for providing support for lighting installers with the physical task needed to efficiently complete the project, as well as handle physical labor to streamline the installation process. This person is responsible for maintaining high levels of customer satisfaction, providing high quality service levels, adhering to company policies, and assisting to provide a safe working environment.   This person must be safety conscious, communicative, possess great interpersonal skills to work with a diverse group of people and maintain a strong commitment to customer service.

Job responsibilities: 

• Material Handling: 
• • Unloading boxes of light fixtures
  • Carrying or transporting them to the installation site using carts and/or pallet jacks
• List Spotting: 
• • Helping lift operators navigate the work area
  • Setting up cones and caution tape
  • Communicating with pedestrians and equipment operators to identify hazards and avoid potential collisions
• Site Preparation: 
• • Clearing the area of obstacles
  • Removing old fixtures/materials
  • Sweeping floors to ensure a clean workspace
• Clean-Up: 
• • Removing packaging debris
  • Breakdown and disposal of old fixtures/lamps/ballasts
  • Sweeping up after the installation is complete
  • Transporting waste to appropriate disposal containers using carts and/or pallet jacks

• • Must be 18 years or older
  • Must have reliable transportation
  • Ability to comprehend and follow instructions, either orally or in writing
  • Must follow all health and safety requirements

• Education and Experience
• • High school diploma or GED
  • Successfully pass trainings offered: Lock-Out-Tag-Out, Confined Spaces, Aerial Lifts, Forklift, Gator/Cart, Fall Protection, PPE, and Bloodborne Pathogens
• Physical Requirements
• • Stand and walk for long periods of time; climb stairs
  • Repeat the same movements
  • Frequent bending and twisting
  • Able to lift, push & pull 50lbs
  • Able to work flexible hours including evenings and weekends
