Basic Functions: Responsible for Total Customer Satisfaction with the services OnPoint Building Services provides to its clients.

Major Responsibilities:

  • Control the Overall Operation – Coordinate and provide the nightly services, special project service, and emergency service to successfully maintain the customer relationship.  This will include oversight of proper staffing, equipment, and chemical usage to meet predefined budgets.

  • Scheduling – Support Crews will need to be scheduled daily to ensure absenteeism or job vacancies are covered.  Overtime is to be limited as much as possible.  When required, ensure the fair distribution of overtime hours (for those seeking it.)

  • Build and Retain Effective Service Teams/Partner with HR- Interview, hire, train, resolve and respond to employee issues, coach, discipline, follow and communicate all safety rules and regulations.  Assist HR in employee attraction and retention. 

  • Customer Retention - Maintain personal/professional relationships with all clients.  Depending upon the size of the client, there may be several contacts within a customer base that must be maintained.  Address any and all issues with competitive urgency.  All items should be addressed/resolved within 24 hours.

  • Inspections – Inspect all accounts no less than on a quarterly basis.  Relay inspection results to the appropriate Area Manager, Account Manager, Site Supervisor, or equivalent. Follow-up to ensure any deficiencies have been addressed and have not re-occurred.

  • Payroll Processing and Budgeting – Review all employee time records for accuracy.  Ensure time data meets budget requirements.

  • Employee and Customer Self Service App (eHub) and Email:
    1. Monitor all communications.  Address needed items.  Forward maintenance issues to the appropriate parties.
    2. Review time data for accuracy.  Edit errors (failures to clock in or out) as needed.  
    3. Ensure supplies are ordered / delivered promptly upon request.  Ensure requests are completed.  
    4. Monitor compliance of clock in/out within geo-fence boundaries.  Address repeat offenders. 
    5. Update employee work schedules as needed to limit unnecessary notifications.  Ensure notifications are being addressed.

  • Standard Operating Procedures – Create as needed & ensure compliance with existing SOP’s 

  • Business Development – Coordinate the successful implementation of new account start-ups

  • Provide Quality Service & Solutions – Continually evaluate processes and take action with improvement ideas/plans

  • Labor Audits – Complete a labor audit on one account per quarter to achieve a 5% account specific labor savings

  • Assist Sales – Assist job estimating to ensure Operations has the correct amount of labor, equipment, etc. to perform the services to expected standards

  • Annual Reviews – Perform Annual Reviews on direct reports

  • Equipment - Ensure all staff has working equipment that is clean and professional in appearance.

  • Personal Development:
  1. Continue learning and deepening your skills through reading or listening to business, leadership, and self improvement content. 
  2. Openly contribute to meetings and the progression of the business overall
  3. Become the go-to resource for peers  
  4. Obtain the Registered Building Service Manager (RBSM) and/or Certified Site Supervisor (CSS) certification within one-year

  • Other – Assist in any area of the business as needed

Qualifications/Education/Work Experience:

  • Minimum 3- 5 years previous supervisory or managerial experience  in the cleaning or janitorial industry
  • Experience managing multiple job sites and multiple clients preferred.
  • Must pass criminal background check
  • Must have a valid driver's license and a clean driving record
  • Must be a minimum of 21 years of age. 
  • Must possess the ability to clearly communicate verbally and in writing. 
  • Must possess strong customer service skills.
