Position Summary:
This position plays an important role in aligning human resources practices with the organization’s strategic goals. Directly supports service excellence by designing and implementing HR strategies that strengthen workforce management, enhance employee engagement, and optimize service delivery. Core responsibilities span key HR functions including recruitment, benefits administration, scheduling support, employee relations, compliance, training, and labor cost oversight. The ideal candidate is a well-rounded HR professional with a strong blend of technical expertise, practical experience, and interpersonal effectiveness. They will play a central role in managing our workforce and upholding a positive, compliant, and solutions-driven environment, particularly within a labor-intensive industry.
Key Reponsabilities:
• Partner with leadership to understand business goals and align HR strategy to support field operations and customer service excellence.
• Develop and implement scalable HR processes that streamline hiring, onboarding, scheduling, and compliance across multiple sites.
• Manage labor-related systems, including timekeeping, scheduling, and weekly payroll inputs.
• Administer benefits programs such as health insurance, PTO, and retirement plans; provide support to field employees in understanding offerings.
• Analyze employee data such as labor costs, overtime, retention, and absenteeism to inform workforce planning.
• Prepare labor budget reports and KPIs for leadership and field managers.
• Oversee day-to-day HR activities, providing direction and support to any HR support staff.
• Deliver timely performance feedback, coaching, and development plans.
• Collaborate with operations managers to identify staffing needs across client sites.
• Oversee recruiting efforts, including sourcing, screening, interviewing, and hiring hourly cleaning staff and supervisors.
• Ensure consistent and compliant onboarding of new employees, including orientation and training.
• Facilitate regular performance review cycles for both field and office-based employees.
• Manage progressive discipline and terminations in compliance with company policy and labor laws.
• Work with managers to identify training needs, especially related to safety, cleaning protocols, customer service, and supervisory skills.
• Coordinate and track required trainings, including compliance and safety certifications.
• Provide guidance on employee relations issues such as attendance, grievances, and conflict resolution.
• Foster a respectful, inclusive, collaborative and safety-first workplace culture across all levels and job sites.
• Support efforts to improve employee satisfaction and retention.
• Monitor and ensure compliance with federal, state, and local labor regulations.
• Maintain and update employee handbooks, policies, and procedures; deliver compliance training as needed.
• Partner with legal counsel when handling complex compliance or legal matters.
• Support change initiatives such as new system rollouts, acquisitions, or restructuring.
• Continuously assess and improve HR procedures to support growth, efficiency, and consistency across locations.

Required Skills & Abilities:
• Strong understanding of hourly field workforce dynamics and labor cost management.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to work with diverse employee populations.
• Effective organizational and time management abilities.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and experienced with HRIS or workforce scheduling systems.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
• Ability to travel locally as needed to visit job sites or meet with field teams.
• Bilingual (English/Spanish) required due to workforce needs.
Education and Experience:
• Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field preferred.
• At least 3 years of progressive HR experience, preferably in janitorial, facility services, or a similar labor-intensive industry.
• Knowledge of employment laws, wage and hour compliance, and safety regulations.
