Shifts available:
Job Duties & Responsibilities:
· Monitor all access control (e.g. door and gate access) devices via Genetec.
· Monitor all surveillance cameras to detect unauthorized actions, theft, damage, and/or illegal activities.
· Monitor all inbound requests via email or phone calls.
· Monitor alarm systems (e.g. fire and burglary).
· Investigate security breaches or unusual occurrences promptly, document findings, and notify appropriate personnel.
· Coordinate responses to incidents as well as provide updated information as it becomes available.
· Report activities and incidents to supervisors, management, and clients, ensuring all actions are logged as per company requirements.
· Communicate with emergency services (e.g., police, fire, ambulance) when necessary to coordinate and facilitate effective responses.
· Assist employees and visitors with security-related concerns.
· All other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
Specifications:
· Highschool diploma or equivalent.
· Three (3) years of security experience.
· Proficiency in Genetec access control and surveillance systems.
· Exceptional verbal and written communication.
· Strong observational and analytical skills.
· Ability to multitask and work in high-pressure environments.
· Knowledgeable in emergency response protocols.
· Virginia Department of Criminal Justice Services (DCJS) Private Security Certification or willingness to be trained in the use of pepper spray, tasers, and handcuffs through a certified training program.
· CPR/AED/First Aid certification or willingness to complete a training program with a certified instructor.
· Prior experience in law enforcement or security services is preferred.
