Vice President – Business Development
Summary: Rapidly expanding company operating in a multi-state, multi-divisional environment is seeking a Vice President – Business Development. The ideal candidate must possess strong presentation and relationship skills, with a solid sales background with five or more years of proven results selling Property Management, Facility Management, and Custodial Services to public and private institutions.
Location: Florida; 50-75% travel is expected
Hours: Fulltime – 40 - 50hrs/week
FLSA status: Exempt, Salary
Reports to: CEO and EVP
Responsibilities but are not limited to:
- Create leads and close membership sales by setting appointments, attending networking events, and reaching out via referrals and calls.
- Develop new business and revenue sources for Property Management, Facility Management, and Custodial Services.
- Must have knowledge and experience of facility and housekeeping services to colleges and universities.
- Developing and maintaining relationships with key clients in order to produce new business, to include facility and housekeeping services.
- Monitors sales activities/performance to ensure actual sales meet or exceed established revenue plan; accurately reports variances/projections.
- Developing and maintaining good relationships with officials and representatives of local community groups and companies.
- Attending out-of-town conventions to generate convention and group business.
- Develops and evaluates advertising and promotional programs. Must personally approve major marketing campaigns.
- Works with the CEO and EVP and operations team to develop pricing strategies.
- Reports directly to the CEO and EVP with all proposals and prepares periodic reports giving results of marketing and sales efforts.
- Prepares sales forecasts,and predicts future revenue.
- Other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- At least 5 years of proven experience selling facility and housekeeping services to colleges and universities.
- BA/BS in Business Administration, Marketing, or an Equivalent. MBA is a plus.
- Able to travel up to 50-75% of the time.
- Basic computer skills such as Microsoft Word, Excel & Office Software, Sales Client database programs, and Internet
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
