• Financial Management & Reporting:
• • Oversee the complete range of financial activities, ensuring robust internal controls and adherence to company policies.
  • Lead the monthly closing process, ensuring timely and accurate financial reporting.
  • Collaborate with an external accounting firm on year-end financials to ensure compliance and accuracy.
• Analysis & Reconciliation:
• • Perform detailed account reconciliations and analyses to support strategic decision-making.
  • Develop, implement, and monitor financial controls to safeguard company assets.
• Forecasting & Budgeting:
• • Assist with forecasting and budgeting initiatives to support short- and long-term financial planning.
  • Provide insights and recommendations to optimize financial performance.
• Cash Management:
• • Oversee and monitor overall cash position of all entities communicating to team as needed.
• Team Leadership:
• • Lead, mentor, and manage a team of 2-5 associates, ensuring professional growth and operational efficiency.
  • Foster a collaborative team environment, encouraging open communication and continuous improvement.

Qualifications:

• Minimum of 5 years’ experience in a leadership role overseeing financial operations, including team management.
• Proven experience in financial reporting, monthly closings, and working with external accounting firms on year-end financials, including experience with retail entities.
• Strong analytical skills, with proficiency in performing account reconciliations and financial analysis.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a commitment to leading a high-performing team.
• Ideally – experience with an ERP system – ideally WinTeam.
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• Experience with sales tax reporting.
• Experience with Payroll Taxes
