Medical Cleaning Technician (Floating Position)

Location: Multiple Hospitals Across The Fox Valley
Schedule: Flexible | Coverage-Based | Variable Shifts
Type: Full-Time / Part-Time

Position Overview

We're seeking a detail-oriented and adaptable Medical Cleaning Technician to join our team in a floating capacity. This essential role supports hospital facilities by filling in coverage gaps, handling special cleaning projects, and maintaining high sanitation standards across various departments and buildings.

Key Responsibilities

Clean and disinfect discharge rooms, exam rooms, procedure rooms, cardiovascular, X-ray, and other clinical environments
Perform floor care tasks including mopping, vacuuming, sweeping, and dusting
Collect and dispose of centralized trash and biohazardous materials following hospital protocols
Change liners and manage waste bins across multiple units
Navigate and adapt to various cleaning routes across different hospital locations
Support facility coverage and contribute to special projects as assigned

Strong attention to detail with a commitment to cleanliness and safety
Willingness to work in environments with exposure to bodily fluids and infectious materials
Comfort with changing schedules, buildings, and procedural variations
Ability to learn new routes quickly, collaborate with teams, and work independently
Dependable, flexible, and proactive mindset—your role is vital to patient care environments

Qualifications

Previous experience in medical or industrial cleaning preferred (but not required)
Familiarity with infection control practices and hospital cleaning standards is a plus
