Environmental Services Technician plays a crucial role in a healthcare setting maintaining a clean, safe, and sanitized environment for patients, visitors, and staff. 

Previous experience in cleaning or environmental services is preferred, as is knowledge of infection control principles. Important skills include the ability to follow instructions, work independently and as part of a team, and pay attention to detail. Physical ability to lift and stand for extended periods is necessary, along with familiarity with cleaning chemicals and equipment. Strong communication and interpersonal skills are also beneficial. 

Duties and Responsibilities

• Cleaning and disinfecting common areas, and restrooms following strict guidelines and protocols.
• Proper waste management and disposal
• Floor care, including sweeping, mopping and buffing. Dusting, wiping, and polishing furniture, fixtures, and surfaces.
• Responding to spills and other cleaning emergencies.
• Operating and maintaining cleaning equipment, including vacuum cleaners, floor scrubbers, and other specialized tools.
• Restocking supplies in restrooms, and other designated areas. Maintaining inventory of cleaning supplies and equipment.
• Reporting maintenance issues to the appropriate personnel.
• Following safety guidelines and wearing appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE).
