We are seeking a dependable and detail-oriented Custodian to perform general cleaning and maintenance duties to ensure a clean, safe, and sanitary environment. The ideal candidate will have prior janitorial experience and the ability to perform physically demanding tasks.     

Duties and Responsibilities:     

• Perform general, routine custodial duties, including cleaning the interior of buildings.
• Disinfect commonly used items such as desks, door handles, office tools, and phones.
• Perform routine maintenance on custodial equipment and supplies.
• Empty trash receptacles, dispose of trash into compactors and/or dumpsters, and bag trash for proper disposal.
• Perform cleaning functions specific to assigned facilities and seasonal or special project requirements.

Minimum Job Requirements:      

• Must be eligible to work in the United States.
• Must pass a pre-employment criminal background check.
• Minimum of one (1) year of janitorial experience required.
• Must speak fluent English.

Physical Demands:     

• Considerable physical activity required.
• Heavy lifting, pushing, and pulling of objects up to 50 pounds.
• Physical work constitutes more than 70% of job duties.
• Work environment includes exposure to potential hazards requiring adherence to basic safety precautions.

Qualifications and Skills:      

• Ability to understand verbal and written instructions.
• Ability to understand and follow safety procedures.
• Ability to operate vacuums and other related cleaning equipment.
• Ability to safely use cleaning equipment and supplies.
• Ability to read, understand, follow, and enforce safety procedures.
