In 1960, Programmed Cleaning Inc. From its origin as a local Milwaukee cleaning service, it has grown into a regional contract cleaning company with cleaning operations throughout Wisconsin. With headquarters in New Berlin, Wisconsin and a branch office in Madison, Programmed Cleaning Inc. has over 500 employees who provide a wide array of clients.

Programmed Cleaning Inc. services multi-tenant buildings, commercial office buildings, healthcare facilities, financial institutions, and educational facilities just to name a few of our clientele. With over 60 years of cleaning experience, we have established ourselves as a dynamic regional contractor.

We are currently hiring a General Cleaner to maintain an office building in the Madison/Monona area. The schedule is Monday through Friday: Monday, Wednesday, and Friday from 6:30 PM to 8:45 PM, and Tuesday and Thursday from 7:30 PM to 8:45 PM. The ideal candidate must be comfortable working independently after completing training. 

General Cleaners maintain the cleanliness of their designated buildings/areas by performing various cleaning duties. Cleaner must be flexible and willing to complete all tasks that are assigned by the supervisor/manager. 

• Dust surfaces include desktops, cabinet tops, partitions, etc. 

• Empty wastebaskets and recyclables; transport to designated disposal area. 

• Sweep and mop hard surfaced floors. 

• Vacuum floors using upright vacuum and/or vac packs.  

• Spot clean carpet. • Clean glass areas 

• Clean and disinfect sinks, countertops, toilets, mirrors, floors, etc. 

• Clean restrooms and maintain supplies- ensure restrooms are stocked  

• Polish metalwork, such as fixtures and fittings.  

• Job duties and/or assigned areas may be modified at any time based on customer or manager discretion. 

• Follow all company Safety standards and procedures. 

• Able to work in a fast-paced work environment.  

• Able to stand or walk during the entire shift to accomplish tasks. Bend, lift, carry, reach/extend arms and hands above shoulder height frequently, or otherwise move in a constantly changing environment.  

• Able to lift, carry, push, and pull 25lbs. frequently and up to 50lbs. occasionally. 

• Able to work in teams if needed.  

• Able to work with cleaning chemicals. 

• Must have reliable transportation. 

• Must have effective communication and people skills.
