Title: Pool Attendant 

Department: Housekeeping 

FLSA Status: Non-Exempt 

Reports to: Executive Housekeeper 

COMPENSATION: $17.00 - $17.75 per hour 

Job Summary: The primary role of a Pool Attendant is to effectively maintain the Hotel’s pool area. This includes but is not limited to: greeting guests, arranging chairs, and sun shades for guests’ reasonable specifications, maintaining the comportment of the pool deck, and generally making sure our guests’ needs are met.  The job duties require style and service attributes that are key to creating a positive guest experience. 

Duties and Responsibilities:  

 We are looking for a friendly and reliable Pool Attendant to join our team. Shift AM and PM  

• Greet and assist guest in a friendly and professional manner.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the pool area, including chairs, tables and surrounding spaces.
• Assist guest with basic questions or requests related to the pool area.
• Restock supplies as needed (towels).  

Qualifications:   

• Minimum 6 months customer service experience
• Ability to work a flexible schedule, including nights and weekends
• Willingness to obtain a CPR certification
• Must be at least 18 years old
• Must be detail oriented, have high standards, and able to work independently
• Ability to effectively deal with internal and external customers, some of whom will require high levels of patience, tact, and diplomacy to defuse anger, collect accurate information, and resolve conflicts.
• Ability to read, listen, and communicate effectively in English
• Ability to access and accurately input information using a moderately complex computer system.
• Hearing and visual ability to observe and detect signs of emergency situations.
• All employees must maintain a neat, clean, and well-groomed appearance (specific standards available).
• Previous experience working in a similar setting

Physical Requirements:   

• Previous experience in customer service.
• English speaking require due to direct guest interaction.
• Ability to lift and carry towels and pool supplies.
• Ability to work outdoors and stand for extended periods.
• Positive attitude, dependable, and team - oriented.
• Flexible availability, including weekends and holidays.
• The colleague may frequently be required to stoop, kneel, and crouch for duration of shift (8 hours).
• The ability to balance will also be required in the delivery of food and drinks. Move, lift, carry, push, pull, and place objects weighing less than or equal to 50 pounds without assistance.
