The Environmental Health & Safety (EHS) Coordinator is responsible for supporting and promoting

a safe, compliant, and environmentally responsible workplace. This role ensures adherence to

federal, state, local, and organizational safety regulations and standards including OSHA, EPA, and

other applicable regulatory agencies.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

Safety & Compliance

• Implement, monitor, and enforce environmental health and safety programs

• Ensure compliance with OSHA, EPA, state, and local regulations

• Conduct routine safety inspections and risk assessments

• Maintain Safety Data Sheets (SDS) and chemical inventories

• Assist with regulatory audits and inspections

Training & Education

• Conduct safety orientations and ongoing training

• Maintain training records and certifications

• Promote safety awareness programs

Incident Management

• Investigate accidents, injuries, and near misses

• Complete incident reports and root cause analyses

• Track corrective actions and workers’ compensation documentation

Environmental Programs

• Oversee hazardous materials handling and waste disposal

• Ensure compliance with environmental regulations

• Support spill prevention and sustainability initiatives

Emergency Preparedness

• Assist with emergency response planning and drills

• Coordinate evacuation and disaster preparedness activities

Documentation & Reporting

• Maintain safety records and logs

• Track safety metrics and prepare reports for leadership
