Looking for Transition Manager

Job Title: Transition Manager (Facilities / Custodial Services)Position Summary:The Transition Manager is responsible for overseeing the successful onboarding of new client accounts and stabilizing underperforming or high-risk accounts within the custodial and facilities services portfolio. This role ensures smooth operational transitions, maintains service quality, and aligns execution with client expectations and company standards.Key Responsibilities:Lead the transition of newly awarded custodial and facilities service contracts from sales to operationsDevelop and execute detailed transition plans, including staffing, training, equipment setup, and supply chain coordinationConduct site assessments to identify operational needs, risks, and opportunities for improvementServe as the primary point of contact for clients during onboarding or recovery phasesStabilize problematic accounts by identifying root causes, implementing corrective action plans, and improving service deliveryEnsure compliance with company policies, safety standards, and (if applicable) union requirementsRecruit, onboard, and train frontline staff and supervisors for new or transitioning sitesCollaborate with HR, operations, and procurement teams to ensure proper resource allocationMonitor performance metrics (KPIs), budgets, and service levels during transition periodsProvide regular status updates and reports to leadership and clientsSupport continuous improvement initiatives and standardization across accountsQualifications:Bachelor’s degree in Business, Facilities Management, or related field (or equivalent experience)3–7+ years of experience in facilities management, custodial services, or operations leadershipProven experience managing account startups, transitions, or turnaround situationsStrong project management and organizational skillsExperience working in union and/or multi-site environments preferredExcellent communication, problem-solving, and leadership abilitiesAbility to travel frequently to client sitesKey Competencies:Project & Transition ManagementClient Relationship ManagementOperational Problem SolvingLeadership & Team DevelopmentChange ManagementBudget & Cost ControlCompliance & Safety AwarenessWork Environment:Combination of office and on-site facility environmentsFrequent travel required depending on account locationsMay require flexible hours during transition phases#PersonalAccountability2026
