Overview

AK Building Services is seeking a hands-on, results-driven Area Manager to oversee a portfolio of commercial cleaning accounts throughout Broward County.

This role is responsible for the operational and financial performance, client satisfaction, and overall health of assigned accounts. The Area Manager ensures consistent service delivery, strong team performance, and adherence to AK’s high standards—while serving as a key liaison between our clients and internal team.

This is a field-based leadership role for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment, takes ownership, and is committed to delivering exceptional service.

What You’ll Do

Operations & Team Leadership

  • Conduct regular site inspections to ensure quality and consistency
  • Manage day-to-day operations across assigned accounts
  • Hire, onboard, and train staff for assigned job sites
  • Supervise and support frontline team members, including performance, attendance, and safety
  • Ensure proper staffing levels and coverage at all times
  • Partner with internal teams (QA, recruiting, leadership) on projects and inspections

Client Management

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for assigned clients
  • Build strong relationships through proactive communication
  • Address and resolve concerns quickly and professionally
  • Ensure all services are delivered according to scope

 

Financial & Administrative Oversight

  • Manage labor budgets, timekeeping, and payroll accuracy
  • Control overtime and ensure cost efficiency
  • Order supplies and manage inventory within budget
  • Maintain accurate records and submit weekly reports
  • Utilize company systems and software to manage operations

What We’re Looking For

  • Proven experience in operations, facilities, or service-based management
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage teams in the field
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities
  • Highly organized with strong attention to detail
  • Ability to manage multiple accounts and priorities
  • Comfortable working evenings and being available as needed
