Position Overview:

The Regional Manager serves as the senior leader responsible for all janitorial operations across the assigned school district. This role provides strategic oversight of service delivery, ensures compliance with contractual requirements, and drives operational consistency across all locations. Acting as the primary representative to district leadership, the Regional Manager builds and maintains strong relationships with district administrators, manages budgets across the district, and leads Zone Managers to achieve high levels of performance, efficiency, and client satisfaction.

Essential Functions:

The essential functions of this position include, but are not limited to:

  • Provide overall leadership and strategic direction for janitorial operations across the district, ensuring alignment with company standards, contractual obligations, and long-term operational goals.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for district-level stakeholders, including administrators, by building strong relationships, meeting regularly to review performance, and addressing concerns to ensure service expectations are met.
  • Oversee compliance with contractual agreements and quality assurance programs, ensuring service requirements are met, inspections are completed, deficiencies are addressed, and performance standards are consistently achieved.
  • Manage district-level budgets, including labor, supplies, and operational costs, ensuring financial performance and cost efficiency.
  • Lead and support Zone Managers by setting expectations, monitoring performance, driving accountability, and improving operational efficiency through analysis, trend identification, and implementation of solutions.
  • Serve as the escalation point for significant operational or client issues, ensuring timely resolution in coordination with Zone Managers.
  • Ensure consistent communication and alignment between district leadership, Zone Managers, and site-level teams.
  • Drive strategic planning, staffing models, and continuous improvement initiatives across the district.
  • Travel throughout the district to conduct site visits, meet with district administrators, and provide operational oversight across all locations

Physical Demands:

  • Frequent standing, walking, and travel between locations.
  • Must be able to work in educational environments and temperatures, including exposure to noise, heat, cold, and indoor/outdoor conditions.
  • Must be able to lift and/or carry up to 25 pounds frequently.

Qualifications:

  • Previous experience in a supervisory role within the janitorial or facilities management industry.
  • Bilingual in English and Spanish required.
  • Proven leadership experience managing multi-site operations and leadership teams.
  • Strong financial acumen with experience managing budgets and controlling costs.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with district administrators and staff.
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.
  • Knowledge of safety protocols, inspection processes, and proper cleaning techniques.
  • Reliable transportation, valid driver’s license, and good driving record required.
  • High school diploma or equivalent; Associate degree or coursework in management is a plus.
