Responsibilities of School Custodian/Janitor:   

• Clean and set-up of cafeteria for lunch periods
• Prepare and empty trash receptacles during lunch service
• Break down cafeteria tables following lunch service
• Wipe down hard surfaces
• Sweep, mop floors
• Clean interior windows/doors
• Dust and vacuum front lobby/vestibule areas
• Clean and restock restrooms
• Assist with set-up for art/music programs as needed

Requirements of School Custodian/Janitor:   

• No Experience, No Problem!
• Ability to work independently and stay on task
• Must be reliable and have good attendance
• Ability to walk and stand for prolonged periods
• Ability to bend, stoop, reach and lift up to 25 pounds
• Ability to use motorized equipment (vacuum, hand operated floor cleaners)
• Ability to read and comprehend instructions and safety related materials
• Must have reliable transportation
• MUST BE ABLE TO PASS A BACKGROUND CHECK & Fingerprinting

Shift Time: 11:00am to 2:00pm (Monday through Friday) (15 total hours per week) 

Custodians/Janitors have daily exposure to cleaning solutions.
