Position Summary

Hands-on leadership position responsible for supporting profitable growth and customer retention through improved operational efficiencies and the development of a dynamic and effective workforce. The Assistant Site Manager supervises daily operations within assigned accounts/territories to ensure high-quality cleaning services that reflect Company values, service standards, and customer expectations. Bilingual fluency in English and Spanish is required to effectively communicate with employees, customers, and management.

Responsibilities

Team Management

  • Assist with recruiting, interviewing, and onboarding for open positions within the designated territory
  • Train and support all new hires to ensure compliance with Company policies and service standards
  • Supervise On-Site Supervisors and service employees by:
    • Providing ongoing coaching, guidance, training, and performance feedback
    • Assisting with goal setting and monitoring operational performance
    • Ensuring Company standards, safety procedures, and quality expectations are consistently met
  • Proactively identify employee performance issues and communicate concerns promptly to Site Manager and Human Resources
  • Support employee relations matters, including attendance, disciplinary actions, grievances, and union-related issues as needed
  • Assist with scheduling, vacation planning, PTO monitoring, and staffing coverage
  • Maintain safety and health regulations at all assigned client locations
  • Serve as a bilingual resource for English- and Spanish-speaking employees and customers

Business Operations

  • Support ongoing process improvement initiatives to increase productivity, operational efficiency, and service quality
  • Assist in implementing cost-control and profit-enhancement strategies
  • Coordinate and support customer/contract start-up operations, including staffing, training, and implementation plans
  • Monitor account performance and identify operational concerns requiring corrective action
  • Assist with maintaining account profitability and productivity goals
  • Support the introduction of new products and/or services
  • Identify opportunities for operational and financial improvements

Customer Relations

  • Support customer account management by responding to concerns, service requests, and operational needs in a timely manner
  • Conduct regular site visits and facility walk-throughs to inspect service quality and identify issues
  • Communicate findings, recommend solutions, and assist in implementing corrective action plans
  • Build and maintain positive customer relationships to support retention and growth opportunities
  • Assist in managing work orders, periodic services, and customer communications through web-based systems
  • Provide bilingual communication support for Spanish-speaking customers and employees as needed

Administration

  • Assist with planning, budgeting, and identifying opportunities for operational growth and improvement
  • Serve as a liaison between customers, field employees, management, and corporate departments
  • Support payroll processing by reviewing and submitting employee work hours accurately and on time
  • Facilitate onboarding paperwork and coordinate documentation with Human Resources
  • Ensure employee status changes and required documentation are reported promptly to maintain compliance and cost control
  • Maintain accurate operational records, reports, and personnel documentation

Qualifications

  • Bilingual in English and Spanish required
  • Previous supervisory or management experience in janitorial, facility services, or related industry preferred
  • Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Knowledge of staffing, scheduling, safety procedures, and customer service practices
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and web-based work order systems
  • Ability to work flexible schedules, including evenings and weekends as needed
