Position: Maintenance Apprentice

Job Summary

We are seeking a motivated and dependable Maintenance Apprentice to assist with the maintenance, repair, and upkeep of our facility. This position is ideal for someone looking to grow their skills in building maintenance while utilizing prior HVAC experience. The apprentice will work alongside experienced maintenance staff to learn preventative maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair procedures.

Responsibilities

• Assist with routine maintenance and repair tasks throughout the facility
• Support HVAC system inspections, troubleshooting, and preventative maintenance
• Complete work orders in a timely and professional manner
• Help maintain heating, cooling, plumbing, electrical, and mechanical systems
• Perform basic repairs including changing filters, replacing light fixtures, and minor equipment repairs
• Maintain clean and safe work areas
• Follow company safety procedures and maintenance protocols
• Assist with emergency maintenance issues as needed
• Document completed maintenance activities accurately
• Lawn care and snow removal as needed

Qualifications

• Previous HVAC experience or vocational training preferred
• Basic knowledge of maintenance tools and equipment
• Ability to learn quickly and follow instructions
• Strong problem-solving and communication skills
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and perform physical work
• Reliable attendance and dependable work ethic
• Requires a valid driver's license with a clean driving record
