The Cleanroom Protocol Monitor is responsible for actively observing, documenting, and ensuring strict adherence to all established cleanroom protocols, standard operating procedures (SOPs), and safety guidelines within our controlled cleanroom environments. This role plays a critical part in maintaining the integrity of our products/processes, preventing contamination, and ensuring compliance with all relevant internal and external regulatory standards (e.g., GMP, ISO, FDA). The successful candidate will be detail-oriented, possess excellent observational and communication skills, and have a strong commitment to quality and compliance.
Key Responsibilities:
- Essential Responsibilities include:
- You must be comfortable wearing a cleanroom suit during the entire shift.
- Adhere to established EHS standards and proactively identify opportunities for improvement to promote and improve a safe work environment.
- Perform manual and clerical duties related to inspections, audits, certifications, and equipment.
- Prepare documentation and enter data into CCC data systems including PMWeb, Microsoft forms, SharePoint, SPC, and other GF System software.
- Handle high value equipment, materials, and hazardous materials in an industrial environment.
- Inspect incoming high value equipment or other materials for particulates and/or damage before allowing into cleanroom.
- Respond to Particle alarms within the FAB environment, investigate root cause, mitigate and provide documentation.
- Ability to handle and operate sensitive testing equipment.
- Utilize computerized or automated systems to accomplish tasks.
- Perform daily inspections/audits in FAB of material and contractor/vendor work areas.
- Perform all activities within standard operating procedures (SOPs).
- Prioritize work assignments based upon service commitment to customers and business needs.
- Perform all activities in a safe and responsible manner and support all Environmental, Health, Safety & Security requirements and programs.
Required Qualifications:
- U.S. Citizenship required - The role you are applying for may require you to obtain a US Department of Defense Security Clearance at some time during your employment. Acceptance of this role commits to applying for such if requested. Further, the applicant consents to being asked questions about their citizenship and background to assess the likelihood of obtaining a Security Clearance. The applicant also acknowledges that GlobalFoundries can only nominate and submit an application for a Security Clearance. - High School diploma or equivalent.
- Fluent in English Language written & verbal.
- Physical Capacity Demands.
- Ability to perform work in a standing position for the majority of a 12-hour shift (excluding breaks).
- Able to lift, pull, and/or carry a minimum of 40 pounds on a periodic basis.
- Able to perform activities that include bending at waist, stooping, kneeling, crawling, crouching, and reaching (under the raised metal flooring).
Preferred Qualifications:
- 2 years direct experience working in semiconductor manufacturing or in high volume manufacturing environmental tool/equipment/facilities maintenance.
- Demonstrates strong communication skills; adept at engaging employees and contractors to coach and drive performance.
- Ability to operate automated or computerized systems and MS office software.
- Sufficient written communication skills to communicate with co-workers and maintain accurate and complete records and daily logs.
- Ability to read and understand operations specifications.
- Demonstrated ability to follow detailed instructions and procedures to complete tasks and required documentation.
- Demonstrated work performance in an environment requiring a high level of attention to detail and timeliness.
- Demonstrated ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously and prioritize activities.
