The Area Manager serves as the primary representative of the company for the designated area.  Responsible for successfully coordinating and directing all operational and personnel activities within the assigned area to ensure the highest client satisfaction levels and account retention. 

 

Essential Functions: 

  • Determines schedules and facilitates and coordinates work assignments of account personnel 
  • Adjusts work schedules of account personnel as required through clear and concise verbal and written work orders. 
  • Interviews, trains, instructs, and assigns work to the custodial crews and leads
  • Hires, fires, disciplines and evaluates custodial crews and leads; provides constructive feedback on a continual basis.
  • Ensures leads are following Area Manager’s instructions at sites.
  • Completes and keeps reports of timekeeping, incident reports (injury and property) and maintenance records.
  • Responsible for area supply inventory; Maintains distribution and delivery of supplies and equipment to custodial staff; submits requests for cleaning equipment to Branch Manager.
  • Enforces policies and procedures
  • Reviews and ensure adherence to account requirements. 
  • Conducts on-site inspections and ensures each property is consistently maintained
  • Addresses client complaints, determine when escalated, and resolve issues in a timely and professional manner
  • Maintains good client relations and ensures client satisfaction with services 
  • Reviews weekly site budget performance and makes and enforces recommendations for improvement
  • Solicits new or additional business and provide quotes for services
  • Infuses the team with a commitment to safety by practicing safe work habits
  • Monitors and ensures site contractual obligations are being met
  • Ability to communicate effectively both written and orally in English and Spanish
  • Conducts regular training sessions for employees on job procedures and safety.
  • Ensures all supplies, materials, and work performed meets the quality standards set by the company.
  • Conducts regular meetings with supervisors and Leads to review ongoing work, procedures, problems, etc.
  • Conducts job-site visits/inspections as necessary to ensure company quality standards are maintained.
  • Maintains the operating condition and security of all tools and equipment owned, leased, or rented by the company and under his/her control.
  • Meets with the customer, in person or by telephone, on a regular basis to ensure the customer’s needs are being met, and to solicit additional work outside the contract. 
  • Any other related duty as directed by the Operation Manager
Additional Information/Benefits

Qualifications: 

 

  • High School diploma required. 
  • Previous experience in a similar capacity and environment.
  • Good verbal and written communication skills in English.
  • Bilingual (English/Spanish) Preferred, but not required.
  • Must be available to work 24/7 including weekends.

this is a Full-Time position 1st Shift, 2nd Shift, Weekends, 3rd Shift
