Equipment Service Technician (Electrical & Mechanical) – Floor Equipment

Location: Cleveland, OH

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $30/hour (based on experience)

?? About the Role

We’re looking for a skilled Equipment Service Technician to repair and maintain commercial floor cleaning equipment (scrubbers, vacuums, etc.). This role includes both in-shop work and field service, so you must be comfortable diagnosing and fixing equipment independently.

This is not a janitorial role — we’re looking for someone with real mechanical and electrical troubleshooting ability.

??? What You’ll Do

1. Diagnose and repair mechanical and electrical issues on floor scrubbers, vacuums, and related equipment
2. Perform preventative maintenance and inspections
3. Handle service calls at customer locations (company vehicle or mileage provided)
4. Troubleshoot motors, batteries, wiring, switches, and control systems
5. Order/install parts and document repairs
6. Keep a clean and organized work area

? What We’re Looking For

1. Experience in equipment repair, small engine repair, industrial maintenance, or similar field
2. Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills
3. Ability to work independently in the field
4. Valid driver’s license
5. Basic tool set (or willingness to acquire one)

? Preferred (Not Required)

1. Experience with floor scrubbers or janitorial equipment
2. Battery systems (lead acid / AGM / lithium)
3. 12V/24V/36V electrical systems
4. Field service experience
